RMC Surveys & Inspections Ltd (Company number 12088943) was formed in 2019 after a clear requirement in the market to use cutting edge technology to allow businesses to operate safer, more efficiently and more cost effectively. As the number of people injured in the workplace through falls from height continues to increase year on year, next-generation aerial platforms (drones), underwater inspection vessels and the very latest camera technology paved the way for safer working, cost saving and the reduction of complex logistics.
Although RMC Surveys & Inspections Ltd is a relatively new company, RMC is not. RMC have been providing exceptional quality aerial and ground-based photography to corporate & residential clients and press & media for over a decade. By early 2019, demand for aerial (drone) surveys and inspections reached a level whereby creating a business solely focused on surveys and inspections, while vastly improving safety, was a logical step. Not long after launching, we expanded our service portfolio to include internal, water and underwater based inspections, making us a true leader in terms of organisations using technology to prevent and eliminate workplace accidents and deaths.
RMC Surveys & Inspections Ltd is run by a small, dedicated, full time team of CAA approved drone pilots, IOSH & NEBOSH qualified health and safety executives, Operations Managers and Aerial Operations Assistants. Each and every task we undertake is meticulously planned and executed by highly-trained professionals and in line with our ‘Zero Harm’ policy, the goal of which is to eliminate workplace accidents through a series of rigorous safe work systems. Every mission we undertake, no matter how large or small, has the undivided attention of the team allocated.
In the time we have been operating, we have carried out surveys and inspections for some of the UK’s largest and most respected companies, slashing both cost and logistics in some cases by up to 900%.
Our CAA PfCO (Permission for Commercial Operations) and OSC (Operating Safety Case), along with our CHAS and SafeContractor accreditations put us in the top 1% of UK commercial drone operators in terms of both safety and the flexibility in how we are permitted to operate. Unlike 99% of other commercial drone operators in the UK, RMC are permitted to work in congested areas, during daytime or night-time hours and within 20 metres of persons, vehicles, vessels and structures not under our control. This almost unprecedented level of authority from the CAA allows us to undertake aerial operations which were simply impossible until only recently.
