Initially formed as a media company, providing photography services to commercial and press clients, RMC has evolved over recent years to offer a wide range of inspection services across the UK. By combining modern technology alongside traditional methods, we pride ourselves in offering cost effective and efficient operations whilst significantly reducing risks. By delivering a professional and friendly service to all our clients, we have built strong relationships within a number of industries and supported a number of high profile projects.
Using a range of both ground, underwater and aerial equipment, our team members are trained to provide professional survey & inspection services across the UK. Operating in a safe and efficient manner are key priorities for our teams. By planning and executing surveys and inspections using our modern technological methods, we are eliminating the need for a number of team members to risk working at height or underwater. Our team of professional operators can complete road, roof, pipe or bridge inspections or land mapping projects without the need for road closures, scaffolding, divers or ladders.
RMC are absolutely committed to using the latest technology to find new ways of doing things. We continually develop our knowledge and understanding by way of additional training and research, keeping up to date with the latest developments and considering how this could improve projects in the industries we work in.
Based in Essex, our team of professional operators travel across the UK delivering projects of all shapes and sizes. No two days are ever the same for our operators and we love working across different industries with both new and returning clients. Delivering quality and customer satisfaction is a priority to us for every project we undertake.
We are proudly operate under an internal ‘Zero Harm’ policy to ensure our projects are delivered safely and without serious injury to our clients or damage to the environment. Here are some of the external permissions and accreditations that RMC Surveys & Inspections Ltd hold:
PfCO & OSC (ID: UAS10198)
Our CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) ‘PfCO’ (Permission for Commercial Operations) and ‘OSC’ (Operating Safety Case) set us apart from other UK commercial drone operators in terms of how we are permitted to operate in UK airspace. Unlike 99% of other commercial drone operators in the UK, we are permitted to work in congested areas, during daytime or night-time hours and within 10 metres of persons, vehicles, vessels and structures not under the control of the UAV (drone) pilot and/or Air Safety Team. This almost unprecedented level of authority from the CAA allows us to plan and undertake UAV (drone) flights in a safe and efficient manner, to safely and effectively meet the needs or our clients.
On January 1st 2021 the UK adopted new European air laws, as defined by EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency). The ‘A2 Certificate of Competency’ and ‘GVC’ permissions were introduced, however both the PfCO and OSC remain valid and fully CAA and EASA approved, and RMC will continue to operate under these highly respected permissions for the foreseeable future.
