On January 1st 2021, the UK adopted European air laws, as defined by EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency). These new laws make it possible for ‘hobby’ pilots to operate commercially, inevitably flooding the market with novice drone operators offering roof inspection services at hugely discounted rates.

In much the same way that you wouldn’t let an inexperienced gas fitter work in your home, we would strongly recommend that all potential clients think very carefully before employing a non-experienced and non-qualified drone operator to inspect your roof.
