Civil Aviation Authority Operational Approval
RMC was granted Civil Aviation Authority permission to operate drones within congested areas under an approved Operating Safety Case (OSC). At the time, this specialist approval enabled operations in complex environments where the vast majority of UK drone operators were unable to fly.
Expanding into Public Sector Technology
RMC began supporting local authorities with CCTV infrastructure, communications and operational technology, establishing long-term partnerships that continue to grow today.
RMC Business Solutions Ltd
The company evolved into RMC Business Solutions Ltd, reflecting an expanding portfolio of integrated technology, engineering and operational services beyond traditional CCTV.

RMC expanded beyond installation, introducing managed monitoring services and providing clients with 24/7 operational resilience.
New Operational Control Centre
Operations were centralised into the new Operational Control Centre at Brentwood Town Hall, providing 24/7 monitoring, incident management and operational support for multiple public sector partners.
Award-Winning Innovation
RMC received the SME Southern Enterprise Award for Best Custom Security Management Solutions Company – Essex, recognising innovation across the public and private sectors.
One Connected Platform
A major investment saw RMC migrate its operational platforms into secure UK cloud infrastructure. Clients now benefit from a single connected platform for CCTV, ANPR, monitoring, reporting and operational management, replacing multiple independent systems. This created the foundations for AI-powered analytics and future intelligent operational services.
Supporting South Essex Parking Partnership
RMC was appointed to support the South Essex Parking Partnership, delivering Civil Enforcement Officer services across participating Essex councils. This expanded the company’s public realm capabilities beyond surveillance into active enforcement and community safety.
Artificial Intelligence Begins
RMC introduced AI-assisted operational technologies including incident detection, behaviour analysis, traffic analytics, automated monitoring and environmental intelligence, designed to enhance operators rather than replace them.

EnviroCam Pilot
The launch of EnviroCam demonstrated how artificial intelligence could support environmental enforcement by automatically detecting fly tipping, littering and other environmental incidents. Designed for councils seeking proactive environmental protection through automated detection of fly tipping, littering and environmental offences.
200 Installations Milestone
RMC surpassed 200 operational deployments across local authorities, commercial organisations and critical infrastructure, including CCTV, ANPR, Operational Control Centres, wireless networking, solar CCTV, AI platforms and intelligent traffic management systems.
